We was asked to re-install a new shower floor to the ladies and gents shower areas. The existing was torn and in a general poor condition. The existing floor covering was ripped up and allowed to dry for 24 hours. The existing concrete subfloor was in a reasonable condition and after an initial grinding of the concrete we used Ardex feather finish to create a smooth surface to install on. We then chose Polyflor Hydro which is an embossed flooring designed for shower floors. The perimeter edges was site formed and great attention as given to the welded joints. The flooring was dressed into the drain covers and sealed. The drain covers where then screwed over the flooring.
