Maintaining LVT Flooring

Maintaining LVT flooring is just as important as the original install…Scratches and general dirt and can be reduced by application of a seal. Here, we complete a seal to a busy reception floor to a manufacturer, as customers and clients will walk through. This will cut down on the amount of work the cleaning staff will have to complete at the end of the day…Any questions or advice just let us know:#lvt#karndean#flooring

Ardex P10 SR

Usually if repairs are not carried out in the concrete can certainly result in a failed decorative floor finish. On this particulat slab, we had issues with numerous cracks in the substrate, which are non-structural, but needed attention so as not to crack the smoothing compound which was to be poured later. Solution: using Ardex P10 SR, which is a 2 part rapid hardening epoxy, we are able to pour in the substrate crack, allow to hardened after approx 20minutes and hey presto crack repaired. Using a floor saw we cross jointed the cracks to install metal ‘stiches’ to help prevent movement and remain stable. Make sure your contractor can do the repairs what you don’t see once the floor finish is installed, as this can be an expensive mistake

Looking after your carpets

Looking after your carpets

When we finally have social gatherings and the drink can flow, we have put together the do’s and do not in looking after your carpets.if something does happen, act quickly, so it does not spread or absorb in too deeply. Most carpets in commercial and residential are stain-resistant, so most spillages can be removed with just water.
1. scoop up the large stuff and blot liquids with white towels. Do not scrub!!!

Use the following, which you have in your home for spot removal:

Clear ammonia, white vinegar, liquid dish detergent, 3% hydrogen peroxide, and isopropyl alcohol.Using bought spot removers, be careful and try a test area first and make sure the colours don’t run.Work from the edges of the spot towards the centre so as not to spread it.  Work with the white towel and continue to work on the spot with the remover.

Rinse the spot with water to remove the residue, some spot removers attract dirt.Take layers of absorbent white towels, place them over the wet area and step on them to remove as much moisture as possible.Fluff the carpet pile with your hand to lift the pile and so it dries quicker.

So when we can finally get the party going, we don’t stress keeping the carpets clean.
