The Hub, Stocksbridge

At a local Evangelical Church in Stocksbridge, the Pastor approached us for advice on some floors which is to be used in children’s play area. Unfortunately the floor is below ground and after moisture testing, the reading was too high to install a stick down safety floor. Also funds a little tight for a liquid damp proof membrane. Option: use a safety floor designed for problem floors, which is not adhered to the substrate and is actually loose laid. The joints are still heat welded to give an impervious finish and still meets high slip resistance. The sub floor was ground back to remove the old adhesive and contaminants, Ardex screed poured to create a smooth finish, (this screed is unaffected by moisture)  . Once dried the floor was ready to have the new flooring installed.
