Initially we had a contact from a client with some damp issues in the concrete.

After some damp floor testing, the slab was quite wet.

To remedy the situation prior to any flooring installed, we had to control the moisture.

The floor had to be grind to open the surface, an Ardex epoxy dpm liquid membrane installed to control the moisture, ideal for floors without a structural membrane.

Once the membrane has cured after 8 hours, Ardex NA smoothing compound was used.

The flooring product we used was a loose laid 6.5mm commercial LVT plank with 1mm of decimal backing for noise reduction.

Polyflor Encore Rigid loc, commercial plank which is ideal to lay over problematic substrates without losing the real look of wood.
