Initially we had some contact regarding some old wood dlooring which was lifting in one if the classrooms.

Once we removed the wood block, the actual concrete substrate was very weak and soft, we had no option but to remove and install ardex A35, cement based product which has rapid drying technology, which means we can screed over within 24hours without worry of mositure affecting the final floor product.

The school is over 100 years old and has no structural dpm, so we applied Ardex 1C, epoxy liquid dpm membrance to control the mositure.

Overall we applied 50mm A35 cement and aggregate and 22mm of Ardex screed to level the floor with surrounding floor finishes.

The floor is now ready for the carpet and vinyl floor finish
