Working in a live and busy care home is never easy…we knew that and the staff knew that, so slightly prepared to say the least.

The floors on the ground floor to the circulation/lounge/day rooms etc, we completed stripped back to the original floor boards, removing old carpets and 2 layers of plyboard. Filling a large 8yrd skip with just the old flooring.

Embarking on the preparation, 6mm flooring grade SP101 installed throughout, with a extra repairs to floorboards etc to boot…oh and drilling through a pipe which there is never a good time!!

The joints and the boards then skimmed with Ardex feather finish to smooth out all the fastenings.

The best bit….see all the Tarkett wood effect floors going down after all the hard work to the preparation, great vibrant and airy oak colour to the corridors and a contrasting darker oak to the dining area finished the mood of these areas.

In to the lounge and adjacent room carpets from Danfloor totally transformed the living space.
