Unlimited flooring was approached to repair and re-seal the hall flooring rather than replace.
The area is large approx 150 m2, we initially stripped back the old polish using a floor stripper and the use of commercial floor stripping machines using green pads.Once the floor was thoroughly scrubbed clean, the dirty water and slurry was removed with a large wet vacuum.
When the floor had dried, we then repaired the vinyl joints by heat welding new weld and thus making the joints watertight again.
A 2 coats of commercial floor seal was used and allowed to dry giving the surface a hard and impregnable finish
– 80m2 of itec pur wood plank vinyl flooring. Existing flooring uplifted and removed, then the subfloor is boarded with 6mm plyboard, all joints skimmed with ardex feather finish.
When completed, all joints heat welded and the perimeter edges silicone sealed.
