Following the successful completion of a flooring refurbishment at Twelve Trees Care Home in Sheffield, we were subsequently commissioned to undertake a comprehensive floor renewal throughout the facility. This recent addition required modernisation. The chosen flooring and décor dramatically enhanced the environment, creating a sophisticated, modern aesthetic comparable to a high-end hotel. The residents and owners expressed considerable satisfaction with the project’s quality and installation. The project encompassed complete floor replacement, including all carpets and the installation of new LVT flooring in the dining area, all while maintaining full occupancy, necessitating meticulous attention to resident needs. The overall result is a remarkable transformation for all to enjoy.

New remodel of the existing flooring, seating and decor
Installing high quality axminster carpet from Oriental weavers, installed on double stick underlay from Cloud nine for commercial interiors.

The underlay is tackified to the substrate for easier removal and the carpet is fully bonded to the underlay for wearability and non movement.

This project was completed in two phases, consisting of two new reception areas, toilet facilities, a new office, and staircase carpeting. Before the flooring installation could commence, the floor required the application of a damp-proof membrane and floor grinding.

Subsequently, the floor was coated with a smoothing compound, and once dried, the new floor finishes were installed. Marmoleum flooring by Forbo was installed as part of our commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness. Linoleum flooring is a durable and resilient choice for contemporary interior design projects, offering both aesthetic appeal and practicality.

10 year old flooring removed, full preparation, ground floor required full mechanical removal, 1st floor had the old plyboard removed and disposed.
1st floor with 100m2 of new 6mm plyboard mechanically fixed, ground floor with full grind and latex screed.
New staircase flooring with aluminium nosings.
Product chosen was Polyflor forest fx, wood effect commercially rated, modern colour and contemporary finish to enhance a nice interior for the staff and pupils alike.
